Telluride is nestled in a box canyon surrounded by 13,000 ft. peaks. Skiing, boarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, shopping and dining! History, art, outdoor adventure, scenery.....
Telluride has all this and much more!
This is a Florida Ski Council trip which means many other Florida Clubs will be joining us in beautiful, historic Telluride!. There will be a welcome reception, two big parties with a DJ and dancing, a mountain lunch after ski racing, and Apres Ski. The FSC holds a NASTAR race and some of the Clubs take it very seriously so let us know if you want to compete!
We don’t usually lead FSC trips but 2026 is an exception because you, our trippers, requested a return to this gorgeous mountain town!
Soon to be the second largest ski resort in Colorado, Steamboat is loved for its light, dry snow and
varied, accessible landscape. Head to the Sunshine Bowl area and explore the Olympian Trail (in the
mellow trees between Quickdraw and Flintlock runs) where you can learn about Steamboat’s best-
known Olympians. As you work your way across the mountain be sure to tap the head of Buddy
Werner’s statue at the top of Storm Peak for good luck. Finish your day on Heavenly Daze, a blue run
that will give you some of the best views of our wide-open valley. If that’s not enough, they also have
night skiing on the mountain.
Steamboat’s downtown dining scene is something to write home about. Our ever-evolving restaurant
lineup offers hungry guests everything from Thai and locally ranched steaks to stylish small plates
and legendary Italian. Can’t decide? Do a little happy hour hop-around. Cheerful chefs and
bartenders serve up deals on cocktails, microbrews, and gourmet apps.
Come and join us for this great adventure. We have secured lodging at Torian Plum the finest ski-
in/ski-out condos in Steamboat Springs. They are in the Torian Plum Plaza at the base of the
Steamboat Ski Area.
Crested Butte is in Southwest Colorado with a straight line distance of 21 miles from Aspen, much more by road. Formerly a mining town, it dwindled when mining operations ceased until the 1960s when a ski area was built on Crested Butte Mountain. The ski resort was constructed on the former Malensek Ranch.
We will be staying at The Plaza located in the Village 180 yards from the chairlift Silver Queen and Keystone Lifts. We will be sleeping at 9300’, so altitude sickness remedies are in order.
The Resort is 3 miles from the quaint town of Crested Butte, population of 1600 and ZERO traffic lights. There is extensive free public transportation between the resort and town, and even all the way to the Gunnison airport.
Andorra
Nestled in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, Andorra is one of Europe’s smallest countries. We’ll spend 4 nights and 3 days enjoying its duty-free shopping, skiing, museums, and nightlife—something for everyone!
Baqueira Beret, Spain
Next, we head to Spain’s top ski resort, Baqueira Beret—larger than Vail with 5,600+ acres, 122 runs, and 36 lifts. Enjoy a dog sled or snowmobile ride to a countryside refuge for a gourmet lunch and wine. Then relax at the hotel spa with a pool, sauna, treatments, and salon. Don’t miss a visit to Vielha for tapas, shopping, and sightseeing.
Barcelona
Our final stop is vibrant Barcelona! Our hotel features a rooftop terrace with views of the iconic Sagrada Familia. We’ll take a half-day city tour, then explore at your leisure—beaches, museums, Gaudí architecture, Park Güell, cooking classes, and more.
This trip is full!! But, you can add your name to the waiting list by contacting the trip leader at pryland@bellsouth.net
